Mould Remediation
We want to do a quick overview of mold just to make sure that we are all on the same page. While it is true that mold forms thanks to accessing water or even wind conditions inside a home it can also develop naturally over time. A lot of companies out there will promise a 100% mold removal service to clients. This is just simply inaccurate. As we said the build-up of mold is a natural process. Our best bet is to keep its growth under control. Floods and other issues can contribute to spiking the growth of mold around the home. In a situation like this, it is absolutely critical to act fast!
Mold After Floods As we just mentioned a flood or just about any type of excessive amount of water entering a home can cause mold issues. Like we always say just because the water has been removed and everything has dried out doesn’t mean that the problem is solved there are still plenty of things that could go wrong. One of the silent killers of your home is the slow but steady build-up of mold. It can build up in basements or within walls and cause great problems with your home’s foundation or other types of problems that are no fun at all! Removal or Remediation? Since mold will never be fully removed from a place we don’t like to use the term removal for everything in sight. We like to think that what we actually do is a combination of both services. As in some cases, the mold build-up may have gotten so bad that it fully needs to be removed. In other cases, it may be wise to just give it a little trim so to speak and then continue to monitor its growth over an extended period of time. Mold Remediation Is Not Just A One Step Process Again since this service isn't just about removing any mold in sight it requires usually a lot more than one visit to fully be able to be considered “complete”. We will usually do most of the dirty work in one visit and then schedule a couple of follow up visits so that we have the opportunity to monitor the molds progression. For the most part, the best idea would be to find the main source that is powering the growth. If at any time during our services your homes experience another flood be sure to call right away so that we can take care of those molds and odor control! Is Mold Detrimental To My Health? The quick answer to the previous question is yes, it can be if it begins to grow uncontrollably all over your home. This fear though should not drive you to hire one of those companies that promises full removal and then just forget about it. If you live in an area were mold typically has ideal conditions to grow and flourish be sure to keep our number on speed dial just in case! |
